There are three primary schools in the area, from which children move on to Hermitage Academy in Helensburgh and Our Lady and St Patrick’s High School in Dumbarton.  Parklands School in Helensburgh provides education for children with special educational needs. The primary schools in the area are:

Community Education

Argyll and Bute Council’s Community Education Service arranges community based life long learning opportunities: courses in essential skills, literacy, numeracy, basic IT, Basic, Intermediate and SVQ IT courses, Open University, short courses, non-vocational courses, etc.

During the winter months, courses on topics such as astronomy, archaeology and environment are run in Cove by Glasgow University's Department of Adult & Continuing Education under the auspices of the Rosneath Peninsula Association for Lifelong Learning.
